Liz Caskey is currently working on a cookbook with the working title, eatwine© Chile: Recipes, Wines pairings, people & places, represented by Lisa Ekus as a literary agent. Francisco Ramírez is the photographer for the project.
In Pure Chile, Liz takes readers on an uplifting, connective, and flavorful trip to experience Chile’s true terroir. Together they will share the untapped array of Chile’s seasonal foods, wines, people, and local culture through the country’s markets, wharfs, villages, countryside, farms, vineyards, festivals, and epic landscapes.
Through personal remembrances, anecdotes on regional culture, and the stories of its gracious people, readers savor Chile by way of its true essence. Full of soul, this book is the voice of the loving home cooks, Liz’s Chilean husband Francisco and extended family, the small agricultural producers, artisan cheese makers, avid wine makers, traditional colonial-style bakers, and all of those who passionately make Chilean culture what it is.
The book features recipes standardized for international kitchens with substitutions; three suggestions for pairings of Chilean wines with each recipe; and gorgeous 4-color photos of dishes, people, and places to visually immerse yourself in this sensual journey. |
